From zillions and zillions years ago, there has been a mountain sitting in an island near Antarctic. As more and more tourists discover this particular island that is considered as the world heritage area, this mountain suddenly becomes a hit overnight. What comes along are the judgments from people who visit.
“She is not tall enough.” One of them said.
“She is not pretty enough.” Some others commented.
“There is no cable on her.”
“She is barren.”
….
Then all kinds of suggestions come uninvited. Some suggest to put cables on the mountain to “modernise” her. Some suggest to put on entertainment devices such as bungee jumping or drifting on the stream among the mountains to attract tourists who want a bit more fun….
The mountain feels very upset. She has never looked herself from others’ perspective. She suddenly feels she is not tall enough, not pretty enough, a bit barren and backwater…. Before the tourists came, she never knew herself has so many “flaws”. Now she feels really perplexed.
Speaking of which, have you ever felt “the trap of a mountain”? When we were criticised as ‘not tall enough”, “not thin enough”, “not clever enough”, “not making enough money”, we started to disconnect from our true essence and deviate our focus from the voice within to the noises outside. We want to be someone else. We want to be the tall person. We want to be the thin person. We want to be the pretty and popular one. We want to be the clever one. We want to be Elon Musk. We only do not want to be ourselves.
Being ourselves becomes an utmost pain. We can not look ourselves in the mirror. We could only see the distorted version of ourselves who absorbed so much negative criticism. We are wrapped with layers of layers of our shadows, only our eyes vaguely give away the shining essence of who we truly are.
As a matter of fact, however negative people criticise and comment, the essence of mountain has never changed. She has been there, since the start of time, being who she is. She has not gained anything, or lost anything. She is always there. Never moved a bit, or changed a bit. She is by herself, perfect, just by being on this planet Earth.
How can our Divine mother and father ever make a mistake when creating you? You are the precious jewel in the lotus. You are the shining star, giving out the unmistakably unique frequencies, being the perfect essence of who you are. When you can walk on your inner path, let go pieces of pieces of your shadow cloths, reconnect to the pearl within, you will know then that every negative sand urges you to go a bit more back to your luminous essence, but never be able to change you a single hair. No one is like you, so magnificent, so special.
